West Bank farmers struggle to access own land

The small West Bank village of Biddu is one of several in the area through which the Israeli Barrier runs. The routing of the Barrier is designed to encompass four Israeli settlements near to Jerusalem, but it also separates the villagers from much of their land.


300 kites fly in the skies of Al Walaja

Today, UNRWA’s psycho-social community project culminated in an epic kite-flying event held in the village of Al Walaja. As part of the event, students from local UNRWA schools flew 300 kites and filled the sky above the village – which is threaten by the construction of the West Bank Barrier – with colour.
