Palestinian students equipped to gain employment in the reconstruction and recovery of Nahr el-Bared

On 30 September, 171 Palestinian students graduated from UNRWA's North Training Centre (NTC), in the presence of the Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Beirut, Michael Bierhoff, and the Director of UNRWA affairs in Lebanon, Salvatore Lombardo.


UNRWA Open Day Showcases New Initiatives

UNRWA’s Damascus Training Centre (DTC) celebrated its annual Open Day today, 4 May, to showcase achievements in technical and vocational training, to promote its youth training and employability initiatives, and to encourage private sector partnerships.

Spirits were high as a group of Palestinian schoolchildren stormed onto the field on 26 and 27 March for the annual UNRWA-JICA Football Cup. Eight teams gathered at Damascus’ al-Faiha stadium, seven from UNRWA schools across Syria and one from the French School in Damascus.

Today 36 Palestine refugee students celebrated their graduation from UNRWA's North Vocational Training Centre in Lebanon. Around 80 per cent have already found employment, helping their community recover from the 2007 Nahr el-Bared camp conflict.
