Exciting news is coming out of UNRWA’s Baqaa Preparatory Girls’ School in Jordan, where visitors will immediately notice a new facility that is providing a better learning environment to the 2,450 students and teachers there.
|Saudi Arabia donates US$ 86 million to support UNRWA projects in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon|

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), has donated US$ 86 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) for projects in the West Bank, Lebanon and Gaza.
|Australia pledges AUD 4.6 million to UNRWA|

Australia will provide AUD 4.6 million (approx. US$ 4.5 million) to support UNRWA’s response to the crisis in Syria. AUD 2 million will go towards the health needs of Palestine refugees from Syria who have been displaced and are now sheltering in Lebanon through the Syria Regional Humanitarian Response Plan.
|Liechtenstein donates CHF 100,000 to UNRWA|

The Government of Liechtenstein has announced a contribution of CHF100,000 (approx. US$ 104,000) to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). This funding will support UNRWA’s regular programme to Palestine refugees living in the occupied Palestinian territory, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.

During his visit to Gaza today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Finland Dr. Erkki Tuomioja announced an additional EUR 1.5 million to the General Fund of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
|Germany funds the rehabilitation of shelters and the water network in Rashidieh camp|

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the Federal Republic of Germany through the Federal Bank for Development (KFW) announced today the official launch of two German funded projects focused on water supply network improvement and shelter rehabilitation in Rashidieh Camp in southern Lebanon.
