Speaking yesterday at a humanitarian forum in Switzerland, UNRWA Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi spoke of the vulnerability of the 500,000-strong Palestinian community in Syria, and called on donors to honour funding pledges.

The Government of Switzerland has contributed an additional CHF 3 million (approximately USD 3.2 million) to UNRWA. The funds will support UNRWA’s regular programme for Palestine refugees in the occupied Palestinian territory, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.
