Thirteen thousand children taking part in UNRWA’s Gaza Summer Games crowned a golden season of three Guinness World Records by smashing a fourth yesterday, for the largest number of people flying kites simultaneously.

More than 5,000 children attending UNRWA Summer Games in the Gaza Strip have created the largest-ever handprint painting. At a stadium in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, some 1,500 children gathered to unveil the canvas that covered 5,922.2 square metres, smashing the previous Guinness World Record.

The children of Gaza today set their second Guinness World Record in as many weeks, for the largest number of footballs dribbled simultaneously. 2,011 children gathered in Kherbit El-Addas, Rafah, to attempt the record breaker.
