Japan has donated US$10 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The money will support UNRWA’s provision of education, health and social services to refugees in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Filippo Grandi, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, made his first official visit to Luxembourg on 8 December. He signed an agreement for an additional contribution of EUR 1.5 million for UNRWA’s health programme in the occupied Palestinian territory.
