For the second year running, India has donated USD 1 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. The money will go towards UNRWA’s General Fund, which supports cores services such as education for some half a million children across the Middle East. In some 700 schools

All infants in the West Bank and Gaza are now receiving the life-saving pneumococcal vaccine, thanks to the generosity of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahayan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (Zayed Foundation) based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
|Navarra Regional Government donates EUR 100,000 to UNRWA emergency programme|

For the third year running, the Spanish Regional Government of Navarra has contributed EUR 100,000 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency’s (UNRWA) mobile health clinics, which provide primary health care to particularly vulnerable communities in the West Bank due to their isolated locations or close proximity to the West Bank Barrier.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Chairman of the UAE’s Al Habtoor Group, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have signed a sponsorship agreement to support deprived Palestinians in Syria and the West Bank.

UNRWA provides schooling to over 50,000 students in 99 schools in the West Bank, and has for the last three years been focused on a special plan to raise standards. UNRWA’s plan includes making the curriculum more targeted, teaching methods and remedial classes, and encouraging better community participation.
|European Commission contributes over EUR 11 million to relief for Palestine refugees through UNRWA|

The European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) announced a contribution of over EUR 11 million to the humanitarian relief programmes of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The contribution will strengthen the Agency’s work supporting the most vulnerable in Syria, Lebanon, and the occupied Palestinian territory.
