Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Niebel announced yesterday an additional contribution of EUR 3 million for the construction of two United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) schools in the Gaza Strip, further demonstrating the strong partnership between the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the UN agency.


Malaysia donates additional USD 1 million to support UNRWA operations in Gaza

In response to conflict in the Gaza Strip in November, the Government of Malaysia has contributed USD 1 million to support operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the blockaded territory. An earlier contribution of USD 200,000 last month supports the Agency’s regular services throughout the occupied Palestinian territory, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria.
