UNRWA and Japan launch Mother and Child Health Care Handbook

Today UNRWA launched the Mother and Child Health (MCH) handbook at al-Jalil health centre in Yarmouk. The project, funded by the Japanese government at the cost of US$37,500, aims to improve the maternal and child health of Palestinian refugees in Syria.

Success for UNRWA students in royal fitness awards

Winners of the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness were honoured on 26 May during a special ceremony held at Al Hussein Sports City. More than 453,000 students aged between nine and 16, including 10,200 from 30 UNRWA schools, took part in the royal imitative.


US Will Contribute $60 Million to UNRWA

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced today that the United States will be making an additional contribution of $60.3 million to UNRWA to support the Agency's core budget and special projects in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.
