Publications

UNRWA’s publications cover many different areas, from socio-economic reports to appeals, newsletters, strategy documents and UN resolutions. This archive, dating back to 2000, contains useful information for researchers, partners and members of the public.

Express yourself - Children participate in arts and crafts activities. Many Summer Games activities take place in the most impoverished areas of Gaza.

Fun at the beach - In 2009 UNRWA transformed 25 beachfront locations into play areas where children took part in swimming, interactive games and arts and crafts.

As part of Summer Games children can participate in a variety of activities including sports, games, theatre projects, arts and crafts, and cultural activities.

Summer Games is the largest initiative of its kind and has proved very popular. In 2009 over 240,000 children took part.

Summer Games was launched to provide opportunities for children living in Gaza to play in a safe environment – an opportunity which is sorely lacking in the context of protracted conflict and increasing poverty in Gaza.
