Abu Khalil, here with Imm Khalil, left his home near Safad in 1948 when he was in 5th grade. They are grateful for the temporary housing but looking forward to moving to the new camp. Their house was donated by Japan, with solar panels donated by the EU.

This man is ombudsman for all the displaced refugees living adjacent to Nahr el-Bared. He lives in temporary housing constructed by the government of Japan, with solar panels donated by Germany. He says he remembers them “every time he takes a shower”.
