10. UNRWA provides training for thousands of teachers, from pre-service training for new teachers to professional development throughout their careers.

9. Many schools urgently need upgrading and replacing but severe funding shortages mean the Agency has not been able to keep up with demand. In Gaza, more than 100 new schools are needed, with nine out of ten schools running on double shifts.
