As part of its campaign to mark the 10th Anniversary of UN Security Resolution 1325, UNRWA in collaboration with Palestine Commission for Refugees (PCR) trained 30 women from across to Gaza Strip in photography as away to allow Palestinian women to document, through their own eyes and creative aspirations, what they believe are the realities facing women in Gaza today

Equipped with basic cameras, the 30 trainees received a one-week intensive training program after which they went into their communities and captured images they thought best reflect the circumstances for women in Gaza. Entitled"Photos by Women for Women-Documenting Women's Lives in the Gaza Strip-2010", the exhibition revealed the resilience, strength and courage women in Gaza represent in the face of the adverse conditions in which they live.
