As the violence in Syria continues to cause massive displacement and a sharp increase in deaths and injuries, the living standards of conflict-affected Syrians and Palestine refugees alike have resulted in urgent humanitarian needs, particularly for food, non-food/winter items, and medical services.

Occasional clashes continue within Yarmouk and the surrounding areas, but residents are now able to enter and exit the camp. All UNRWA facilities remain closed. There are reports of at least eight Palestine refugees killed yesterday.

Damascus and the surrounding area: Airstrikes, shelling and intensive clashes occurred throughout the night and continued throughout the day in the area surrounding Yarmouk camp with shells impacting in UNRWA schools causing damage and casualties. 12 are reported dead and several others injured.
