UNRWA Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi visited Brussels for meetings with the European Parliament and with HE Baroness Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Mr. Grandi thanked Baroness Ashton for the long-standing and invaluable commitment she has shown to supporting Palestine refugees through the Agency. He presented her with a plaque commemorating the olive tree - a symbol of peace - that UNRWA has planted in her honour in the West Bank, recognizing the strength and reliability of her support.
