During his visit to Brussels from 14 to 16 October, UNRWA Commissioner General Filippo Grandi, met with, among others, EU Council President Herman Van Rompuy, European Parliament President Martin Schulz, European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, as well as, Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Mrs Kristalina Georgieva, and Commissioner for Financial Programming and Budget Mr. Janus Lewandowski. Following his meeting with the EU External Action Service Executive Secretary General Mr. Pierre Vimont, both opened a photo exhibition "Views from the ground" (photos taken by Palestine refugee youth in Lebanon camps). He also briefed the 28 Ambassadors of the EU Political and Security Committee. During his visit, Mr. Grandi signed a cooperation agreement with Mr Kris Peeters, Minister President of the Government of Flanders and met with senior officials of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
