Today in Geneva, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) launched its 2015 Annual Report of the Department of Health, which highlights the remarkable gains achieved by UNRWA in reducing mother and child deaths, infectious and communicable disease transmission, and achieving nearly 100 per cent vaccination coverage rates. Mohamed Ibrahim Geith, 62 years old, is originally from the village of Bashshit, southwest of Al Ramlah. Mohamed lives in beach camp. Known as Abu Islam, he is the father of three girls and two boys. He is unemployed. "Nakba for me is the reason behind all the hardships that I, my children, my parents and my grandparents had to go through the last 68 years," Mohamed explains. UNRWA and UNICEF launched on 29 April ‘Palestiniadi’, a three-day sports event for children and youth living in Palestine refugee camps and gatherings in Lebanon. Palestiniadi brought together more than 300 Palestine refugee children from Lebanon, Palestine refugees from Syria in Lebanon, and Lebanese children to compete in six different sports activities. Around 40 children with disabilities were among the participants
