UNRWA West Bank and PalTel launched two workshops in mobile phone maintenance and information technology (IT) at the Kalandia Training Centre today, an activity that falls in line with the comprehensive tertiary education reform implemented by UNRWA in the West Bank “towards a confident and self-reliant youth”.

|UNRWA Students Make a Stand Against Poverty|

This year 485,023 UNRWA school children in the West Bank, Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, stood up simultaneously and shouted "No to poverty" in protest of their own poverty and the poverty of others throughout the world.

|UNRWA operates one of the largest school systems in the Middle East, with nearly 700 schools, and has been the main provider of primary education to Palestine refugees for sixty years.|
