11 April 2011 French football star Lilian Thuram today visited the occupied Palestinian territory in support of the education programme funded by France through UNRWA.
24 January 2011 The Al Aqsa Fund, through its administrators the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and UNRWA have signed an agreement worth US$ 4.9 million for two important education projects in the Jerusalem area.
The Israeli authorities consider this area as part of Greater Jerusalem, and the camp was thus excluded from the redeployment phase in 1995. Kalandia camp remains under Israeli control today.
