In this unit we will focus on the UNRWA Competency Framework for Head Teachers and Associated Roles and Responsibilities. We will also explore Standards for Leadership from other countries and consider

Objectives

By the end of this unit of study you will be able to:

• increase your awareness of the UNRWA Competency Framework
• compare the UNRWA Competency framework with international Leadership Standards
• identify your own leadership strengths and some areas to further develop your leadership competence

Learning and practice outcomes:

You will:

• increase your confidence in areas of your leadership strengths
• have clear ideas about what to focus on to improve your leadership confidence and competence

Implementation Task:

Complete a self-analysis of your performance against the Head teacher Competences identifying your current strengths and one or two areas in which you would like to improve.
