In Syria, approximately half of the 525,000 Palestine refugees in the country are directly caught up in the conflict. UNRWA is there for them.

  • Our 3,600 area staff are working to keep our schools, clinics and food distribution centres open
  • We’re providing food to 159,000 people affected by the violence, including 9,000 infants
  • Our schools are giving shelter to thousands of people who have fled their homes
  • We’re providing 26,000 struggling families with blankets, mattresses, mats, hygiene kits, and cooking sets
  • We’re making sure that 500,000 people have access to emergency medical supplies and hospital care
  • We’re trying to make it possible for 66,000 children to return to school
