The Government of Japan has contributed US$ 28.4 million to UNRWA in support of the Agency’s core programmes, emergency response efforts and priority projects

Denmark has contributed DKK 25 million (approximately US$ 3.6 million) to UNRWA in support of its core programmes and services in Lebanon, helping ensure that the Agency can continue to provide basic services in education, health, relief and social services, and camp improvement to Palestine refugees

The Government of Italy, through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), has contributed EUR 2.25 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in support of the Agency’s emergency operations in response to the ongoing Syria crisis.

UNRWA launched today two international appeals totaling US$ 813 million to fund the emergency response to the crisis in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, and to meet the critical humanitarian needs of Palestine refugees affected by the conflict in Syria, including those displaced into Lebanon and Jordan
