UNRWA Holds Open Day in Amman Training Centre

On the occasion of the end of 2013/14 school year, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) held an open day at its Amman Training Centre (ATC) under the patronage of Director of UNRWA Operations in Jordan Roger Davies.

The centre organizes an annual open day for its students, showcasing their works and performances.

The 7 May event included performances on Palestinian heritage, simulation of a bank in which business students receive training, simulation of a hospital in which paramedical students perform practical exercises, a competition on assembling PC components, graduation projects for computer information technology, a typing competition, hairdressing for brides from different countries, a job fair and sporting activities.

The UNRWA ATC was established in 1970 and provides post-secondary, semi-professional courses such as paramedical, commercial, hairdressing and computer information systems courses for approximately 1,130 students.
