Building solidarity across the world

To mark the climax of the UN’s International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, an iconic image from UNRWA’s newly digitized archive has been displayed on buildings in eight cities across the world: Bangkok, Beirut, Dubai, Jakarta, Seville, New York, Tokyo and Vienna.  

The year 2014 is dedicated by the United Nations to solidarity with the Palestinian people. #BuildingSolidarity aims to highlight the yet unresolved plight of the Palestine refugees, who are still awaiting a just solution and are among the most vulnerable people in the world.
