The King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief (KSRelief) has contributed US$ 1 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to help provide urgently needed food assistance to Palestine refugees in Syria. The Netherlands Embassy in Jordan announced on Monday, 28 November, a contribution of EUR 2 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in support of education services provided by the Agency to Palestine refugee children from Syria. This announcement comes as part of the Dutch government’s launch of a special regional fund in response to the Syria crisis to support affected countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq. On 17 October 2016, UNRWA inaugurated the newly reconstructed Dallata/Beit Jibreen School for 2,100 students in Qabr Essit camp, 15 km southeast of Damascus. The school building, which was completely destroyed in the conflict in 2013, was rebuilt and upgraded this year with the generous support of the people of Japan
