Education is central to the identity and dignity of Palestine refugees and of the boys and girls whose future depends on learning and developing skills in UNRWA schools. Yet Palestine refugee children across the region continue to face extraordinary obstacles in obtaining a quality basic education, with protection crises, armed conflict, regional turmoil and sociopolitical barriers threatening their access to schools and jeopardizing their pursuit of a better future. The moment has come to galvanize support for their right to education. At a time of heightened instability in the Middle East, the world can no longer afford to ignore Palestine refugee children when they say: “Education is the only hope we have."
