The annual European Union (EU) Fun Days were extra special this summer. For the first time ever, 2,000 UNRWA students coming from across the West Bank- from the northern city of Jenin to the southernmost tip of Hebron, and everywhere in between- filled forty UNRWA school buses took a field trip to Nablus to spend the entire day. As the wheels on the bus turned round and round, the students, supervised by one hundred UNRWA teachers and administration, sang and cheered the entire way. The massive group headed to Wahat Al-Bathan in Nablus to escape the summer heat, swim and enjoy the simple pleasures of being a kid! The European Union has been a champion and advocate for Palestine refugee children exercising their right to play, dedicated to working with UNRWA to create safe spaces and opportunities for our students since 1971 #EU_UNRWA #forPalestineRefugees
