Ghazzal - a ninth-grade student from the UNRWA Beit Surik Girls School in the West Bank – invented a device that opens windows automatically as soon as it senses gas, with the potential to save countless lives across the West Bank and beyond. She entered her device into a local “Tech for Talent” competition that took her all the way to Dubai, where her invention won third place, representing Palestine. #UNRWAworks to unlock every human potential among the over 540,000 students attending its 710 schools across the region every year.
