Since 1971, the European Union (EU) has worked closely with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to advocate for and support the human development and humanitarian needs of Palestine refugees in the occupied Palestinian territory, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, becoming UNRWA’s largest multilateral donor.
