The European-Union funded 'Start...or expand your business' initiative provides income-generating opportunities for Palestine refugees in Lebanon, who face challenging employment legislations regulating their access to the Lebanese labour market. The initiative draws special attention to vulnerable groups e.g. youth, women and persons with disabilities, and has allowed a large number of beneficiaries to start or expand their businesses in areas as diverse as internet services, construction, interior design, clothing, furniture, agricultural works and car mechanics, allowing them to gain access to better living conditions and sustainable self-reliance.
