UNRWA Back to School 2019 - Ismail Ajjawi, Harvard Class of 2023

Seventeen-year-old Palestine refugee, Ismail Ajjawi, was admitted to the Harvard University incoming freshman class of 2023 and issued a visa to the United States, only to be denied entry to the country when he arrived at Boston Logan International Airport on August 23. One week later, Ismail joined the rest of the Harvard College class of 2023 on their first day of classes, fulfilling his dream.
