In Gaza, Palestine refugees face a socioeconomic crisis that sees them in a state of de-development. The 2019 UNRWA oPt Emergency Appeal calls for international support to enable the Agency to continue its emergency interventions within Gaza. Through its appeal, to address food insecurity faced by Palestine refugees in the coastal enclave, UNRWA will provide emergency assistance to 924,310 Palestine refugees who lack the financial means to cover their basic food needs, including 460,440 women and 19,566 female-headed households.
