UNRWA School Parliamentarians Meet in Amman for 5th Workshop!

Elected school parliamentarians from UNRWA schools in all five fields, including Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip came together in Amman for the 5th Agency-wide workshop.
Together they discussed their role in spreading a culture of human rights, democracy, respect, and tolerance, and voiced their concerns on students’ interests, successes and challenges. During the workshop, Parliamentarians explored themes including human rights, democratic practices, leadership, communications, advocacy, and lessons learned. The workshop is part of Agency’s Human Rights, Conflict Resolution and Tolerance programme and is sponsored by the United States Government.
