Nurse Nadine in the UNRWA health centre in Deir al-Balah uses nebulizers to treat 60-70 children with respiratory infections every day. She says that because of the high demand, she brought her son’s nebulizer from home to treat more patients: “We cannot abandon a sick child.” Nurse Nadine is one of 708 dedicated health-care staff who remain working in the seven operational health centres in Gaza.
