Dr. Angie and her team at the UNRWA Nuseirat Health Centre in central Gaza are working to track malnutrition in small children aged between six months and five years. A report issued by UNICEF on 19 February on nutrition vulnerability in Gaza found a steep rise in malnutrition among children in Gaza, particularly in northern Gaza where 15.6 per cent - or 1 in 6 children under 2 years of age - were found to be acutely malnourished. UNRWA works with UNICEF and other UN agencies to monitor malnutrition among children and initiate treatment where necessary.
