In 2016, UNRWA signed a partnership agreement with Visit Palestine to jointly increase awareness about the plight of Palestine refugees and to ensure continued support for education.

With the agreement, Visit Palestine will donate 5 per cent of sales profits from its artisan shop in Bethlehem and 10 per cent of sales profits from its online gift shop to the UNRWA education programme, which benefits 500,000 Palestine refugee children in the Agency’s five fields of operations every day.

Visit Palestine is a leading online travel guide for Palestine and aims to promote Palestine as a viable tourism destination. On the occasion of the partnership agreement, Founder and General Manager Sami Khoury said, “Supporting Palestinian refugees is our duty and we are proud of this new partnership with UNRWA and we hope our contributions will make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters.”
