Acquiring knowledge and skills

UNRWA operates one of the largest school systems in the Middle East, teaching some half a million children in 700 schools. The Agency has been the main provider of primary education to Palestine refugees for sixty years.

As well as running schools, UNRWA provides vocational training for young people to help them gain further skills for the workforce.
