The Annual Report of the UNRWA Department of Health for the year 2003 comprises a chapter on the demographic and epidemiological profile of the Palestine refugee population, a chapter on programme management, a chapter on the programme of emergency humanitarian assistance in the occupied Palestinian territory, and four chapters describing the progress achieved under core programme activities, namely medical care services, health protection and promotion, disease prevention and control and environmental health services. Each chapter starts with an introduction, followed by programme accomplishments during the year.
