for the reporting period 01 January – 30 June 2020
In the first half of 2020, Palestine refugees in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) continued to suffer the humanitarian and protection consequences of the Israeli occupation, coupled with the public health and socio-economic impacts of COVID-19. In response, UNRWA continued to provide humanitarian assistance to more than one million Palestine refugees in Gaza and the West Bank. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Agency rapidly adjusted its programmes to incorporate the necessary health and risk mitigation measures, ensuring the continued availability of basic services.
