The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is a relief and human development agency mandated by the UN General Assembly (UNGA), since 1949,which provides assistance and protection for Palestine Refugees within its five Fields of operation: Gaza, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.
