Assuring quality curriculum in UNRWA schools

01 January 2012

Students in UNRWA schools are taught the curriculum of their host country; an agreement which has been in place between UNRWA, UNESCO and the host countries since 1954 to facilitate refugees’ access to the host countries’ secondary schools.

UNRWA must always ensure that the delivery of education in its schools aligns with the broader development goals of its education programme and reflects values, principles and purposes of the United Nations. A system to support quality standards across all Fields is being put in place.
