The ReMOS will be implemented through internal annual Action Plans, which will be overseen by the External Relations and Communications Department (ERCD) in close consultation with the Executive Office, Field Offices, HQ Departments, and Representative Offices to ensure the Strategy’s objectives are mainstreamed throughout the Agency.
To respond to a rapidly changing environment, the Agency will conduct regular internal reviews of the ReMOS and further consult donors and hosts, as appropriate, while also seeking the views of Palestine Refugees. Strong data, rigorous analysis and enhanced donor intelligence will inform the actions and needed adaptation. The ReMOS acknowledges the primary role of the hosts towards Palestine Refugees and therefore does not address UNRWA’s partnerships with the hosts, but rather all additional ones. Relations with hosts fall under the purview of the Executive Office and Field Offices. Both host countries and donors have been consulted in the drafting of this Strategy.
